Tigers Show Out in Hot Springs

Central entered the ESPN 96.3 Classic unbeaten and left Hot Springs with an improved 4-0 record after an impressive weekend. The Tigers were resilient, securing a 66-59 come-from-behind win vs. El Dorado (2-3) on Friday. Central was down by as much as 18 in the second quarter and 11 at the half. A strong third quarter brought the Tigers within striking distance before taking its first lead of the game early in the fourth quarter. Senior forward Rajhon McIntosh led all scorers with a game-high 25 points. With little time to rest, the Tigers hit the road again on Saturday to face then-unbeaten Hot Springs Trojans (2-1). Central defeated Hot Springs, 45-42, in a game that went down to the wire. The Tigers led the entire game and never looked back, holding off the Trojans' late comeback bid to earn its first true road win of the season and improve to 4-0. In case you missed it, senior guard Jakaylyn Jackson let everyone in the gym know this is a man's game with what might go down as the highlight of the year.
