Jammin' For Jackets Bracket Set

An early-season rematch is in store for the Central Tigers at this year's Jammin' for Jackets Tournament hosted by Hall High School's George Cirks Arena (Dec. 6-8). The loaded field consists of seven other local basketball programs, including two defending state champions. The Tigers are among Parkview, Mills University Studies, Hall, J.A. Fair, McClellan, Episcopal and Baptist Prep, who has won three consecutive 4A state titles. In the first round, Central will face Mills, a program that has appeared in each of the last two 5A state finals, posting a 29-3 record last year and crowned 5A champions in 2017. Tip is set for 7 p.m. The Tigers defeated the Comets, 53-42, in the their first meeting this season at the annual Hoopin 4 Hoodies diabetes awareness event in North Little Rock. Central will play either Baptist Prep or Hall for its second game in the tournament. Parkview, Fair, McClellan and Episcopal round out the rest of the bracket.
