Central Basketball Launches 2018-19 Fundraising Campaign

Central Tiger Basketball needs your support and is offering multiple sponsorship opportunities for fans, alumni and businesses in the community LETTER OF SUPPORT PACKET Dear parents, fans, alumni, and supporters of Central Basketball, Hello, my name is Brian Ross and I am excited to be the new head coach of the Little Rock Central Tigers! As we all know, Central is the most prestigious, historic, and accomplished program in the state of Arkansas, and I want to do everything I can to restore those winning ways. It all starts with instilling a mindset of excellence in everything. We want our players to strive for excellence in athletics, academics, and in character. We want to develop great habits through the game of basketball that help our young men learn the life lessons of work ethic, discipline, integrity, teamwork and perseverance. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of three other winning programs in my high school coaching career. For the last four years, I have been the head coach at Baptist Prep where we won three consecutive 4A state championships. During my four years, we had an overall record of 112-26, a conference record of 58-2, four consecutive conference championships. In 2018, I was named Arkansas Boys Basketball Coach of the Year by USA Today and the Arkansas Basketball Coaches Association. Prior to Baptist Prep, I was an assistant coach at Bentonville High School for one season where we went 20-5 and won a 7A West conference championship in 2013-14. I also spent six seasons at Rogers High School where we had the winningest stretch in school history, appearing in the 7A state finals in 2009 and reaching the state semifinals three times. In every school I’ve worked for, I’ve seen great support from alumni, parents and fans for our programs; but I have been absolutely amazed at the enthusiasm and pride of the supporters of Little Rock Central since I accepted this job earlier this year. I am thrilled to work at a place where success and excellence mean so much to so many people. I believe that we have an opportunity to bring championships to this school and make a positive difference in the lives of the young men in our program. One area in which we have fallen short of being an elite high school program is in the resources provided for our student athletes. In the few months I’ve been here, our administration has been incredibly supportive, but we still have a long way to go. Some of our immediate needs include things like additional weight equipment, shooting machines, a camera to film games, updated team gear, film breakdown & playbook software, funds for team meals, etc. Please check out our sponsorship opportunities outlined below and help support Tiger basketball.
