Central handed top-ranked Conway its first conference loss of the season Friday night.
The Tigers started strong and led the entire game on their way to a 65-54 win.
The offense was in groove while the Tigers' tough defense held the Wampus Cats to 37.5 percent shooting (15 of 40).
"Our defense was really active," said head coach Brian Ross. "They're a great, big, athletic team. We were very focused on what we needed to do on that end."
Central's defense also forced Conway into 18 turnovers.
The Tigers have won two consecutive conference games with the 6A Central halfway mark approaching.
"They were back to feeling like they were before conference play," said Ross.
Central's largest lead topped out at 19 points late in the fourth quarter.
Senior guard AJ Williams led the Tigers with 20 points.
The Tigers are back in action at Fort Smith Southside on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
